Experienced Surgeon 

A qualified and experienced doctor is important to the success of any surgical procedure. Dr. Hodges has been doing refractive surgery for over 10 years and has performed thousands of procedures. Dr. Hodges earned his medical degree from Ohio State University and completed his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry at the University of Cincinnati. He served as a flight surgeon before deciding upon a career in ophthalmology. He completed his residency training in the world-renowned Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C.

Among his many professional distinctions, Dr. Hodges is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Association of Cataract Refractive Surgery and an active member of the Arizona and Tucson Society of Ophthalmology.  Dr. Hodges believes in continuing education and spends up to three weeks a year attending various seminars and informational ophthalmology meetings.

Advanced Technology

Dr. Hodges specializes in comprehensive ophthalmology and cataract surgery.  His enthusiasm for surgery includes all of the latest refractive procedures approved by the FDA.  Our surgical center houses a newly designed laser surgery suite and he uses nothing but the best equipment and laser technology.  Custom LASIK is performed using a blade free procedure utilizing the IntraLase FS laser.  CustomVue procedures can be performed utilizing the Wavescan technology in conjunction with the 3D ActiveTrak system on the VISX S-4 laser.  Our laser center is complete and can accommodate most patients who have an interest in Refractive Surgery.
